MILK RIVER, AB – The emergency division on the Milk River Well being Centre can be closed for greater than 4 days this week as a consequence of a scarcity of doctor protection, stated Alberta Well being Providers (AHS).
AHS explains that the division can be closed from midday on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, till 8:00 a.m. on April 3, when the division will return to 24-hour service.
Nursing workers will stay on-site through the closure to offer take care of long-term care residents.
Sufferers are requested to name 911 if they’ve a medical emergency. EMS calls can be re-routed to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge (87 km away) or Raymond Well being Centre (60 km away). Sufferers in search of care can entry emergency providers at both of these services.
